How To Split PDF Files By Pages Online or Offline

Below we show how to divide PDF files into multiple smaller documents.

Step 1: Upload your PDF file

Files are uploaded safely over an encrypted https connection. Files remain private. Once processed, they are deleted.

Rather not upload your files and work with them on premise?
Use Sejda Desktop. Offers same features as the online service, and the files are processed locally.

Click Upload PDF files and select files from your local computer. Can also drag and drop files anywhere on the page.

Tip: Dropbox or Google Drive files

You can also pick PDF files directly from Dropbox or Google Drive.

Expand the Upload PDF files dropdown and select your files.

Step 2: Select pages where to split

Do you have specific pages where the doc should be split?

Click on the page thumbnails to select the pages.

Example: Click on page 4 and page 10 if you want to split the document in 3 parts: first containing pages 1-4, second containing pages 5-10 and last pages 11 to the end.

Tip: Merging the results into a single document

Want one result file instead of many? Select the option Merge all back into a single document

Are you instead looking to extract specific pages? Extract pages from PDF file
